Strong Advocacy Leads to Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) Dismissal 03/02/2018

Our client’s wife filed a temporary restraining order (TRO) against him, claiming that the husband had threatened to shoot her with a gun and had physically attacked her. The wife also alleged that there was a very long history of unreported domestic violence incidents. During the court hearing, Song Law Firm’s attorneys aggressively objected to the wife’s testimony related to the prior unreported domestic violence incidents, arguing that it would violate client’s due process rights. The Judge agreed with Song Law Firm’s attorneys and barred the wife from testifying about prior unreported domestic violence incidents. Ultimately, the parties agreed to mutually enter into civil restraints and dismiss the restraining orders.
